Ingredients needed for this recipe (7)
  • 2 (8 oz) wild sockeye salmon fillet
  • 2 tablespoons miso paste
  • 2 tablespoons hoisin sauce
  • 2 tablespoons minced ginger
  • 3 tablespoons brown sugar
  • orange juice
  • cooked black rice

Instructions

  • Mix miso paste, hoisin sauce, ginger, brown sugar and orange juice.
  • Cut thawed salmon fillet to 8oz portions (pull pin bones prior to that). Place individual portions in a zip lock bag and add marinade. Marinate refrigerated for 1-2 hours (more than that is better).
  • Place the salmon fillets on the prepared baking sheet, seam side down. Lightly spray with olive oil. Bake 10 minutes at 450F and high heat broil for 3-5 min to finish it.
  • Serve with black rice and enjoy.
